A Spiritual Awakening is ultimately, anything that encourages (or forces) you to "look at your life from a more spiritual perspective". Spiritual Awakening can be spontaneous but for most, it is initiated by major life changes or traumas such as a life-threatening illness, car accident, relationship breakdown, midlife crisis (or one at any age), mental health crisis such as clinical depression or anxiety, or even a near-death experience.
During a spiritual awakening you might experience signs within you and around you. These might include:
feeling disconnected from your life, feeling alone or feeling more connected to the earth or ancient spiritual paths,
re-evaluating your beliefs - a spiritual life becomes a priority and your outlook on life changes,
your dreams feel like they are giving your messages and your intuition becomes more pronounced,
experiencing synchronicities or déjà vu more frequently,
spiritual teachers find you,
relationships begin to shift as feelings that some of the people in your life no longer understand you - and you realise the need to follow your heart
beginning to feel energy, other people’s emotions and physical symptoms like tiredness, body pain or a scattered mind.
Ascension is the process of our 3rd dimensional (3D) way of life (thinking/seeing/being mainly based in the material world) transmuting to a higher vibration, where we are thinking/seeing/being beyond our physical/material wants and needs. We are collectively ascending to a 5th dimensional (5D) way of life although at our own pace and degree of awareness of it.
Instead of looking outside of ourselves, driven by material gain or worth, we are now looking within for peace, balance and a higher meaning to our existence. We now find the healing our Soul is paramount to keeping our physical body from dying with the weight of emotional dis-ease; living simply being preferable to accumulating material wealth and the associated indigestible diet of fear, anger, jealousy and disenchantment (to name a few examples).
We seek practices that reflect and support these changes. Some examples are journaling, chanting, drumming or dancing; and finding faith in spiritual paths such as Buddhism, Christianity, and Earth based faiths.
Life, all life, becomes more sacred This leads to living more intentionally or conscious sacred living. That might include:
listening to our inner voice,
become our own champion and begin to heal those parts of ourselves that speak harshly to us,
think, speak and act more compassionately,
seek spiritual healing opportunities by diving into our emotional wounds with release/shadow work, inner child healing, past life release and other forms of energy healing,
bring deeper meaning to our lives by incorporating personal rituals and ceremonies such as keeping ourselves aligned with the cycles of the earth or moon
Once committed to a practice of conscious sacred living our new found peace will be tested often. Low vibration thoughts and feelings tend to creep up on us. The people around us may try to draw us into 3D unhealthy conversations or gossip. Life can and will throw us curve balls and when it does, we can struggle to maintain a high vibration. For example, when relationships break down or when a loved one goes home.
The 5D vibration gives hope, growth, and healing. It is available to us even in the presence of loss, dark emotions or illness. The commitment to self, commitment to healing and raising your vibration will cause a ripple effect through all aspects of your life. By consistently implementing just one spiritual practice into your life you will find peace and balance. You will be less reactive to situations and people.
As your vibration rises, the energy around you rises. Opportunities open. You are more compassionate. You no longer attract low vibration experiences or people. You become a clearer channel (for Spirit). Your energy and creativity flows.
There are many times in their life when a healer needs healing or a reader needs insight for themselves. Those who remain 3D cannot see the need within themselves while those who strive for 5D living, actively seek healing and insight in the knowledge that it helps to keep their vibration clear, strong and functioning. Think about how many channels are possibly connecting to low vibration energy believing it to be high vibration. Really, just take a moment to let this sink in and consider the implications. There are people out there giving healings or readings who don’t invest in their own ongoing healing or maintain a high vibration.
Be a willing participant in your own healing. You will find many opportunities to revisit events or experiences you thought you had worked through (dealt with) and healed. Healing is cyclic – as your vibration rises, those old issues resurface to be viewed and healed from a higher perspective. When you become more aware of your own thoughts and actions slipping back into a 3D vibration look at what spiritual practice has fallen away in your life.
You might need to go back to basic practices for a while, call in Kwan Yin to fill you or the situation with compassion, or seek healing either medical or spiritual. Look at the people who are in your circle. Are they focused on low vibration conversations or behaviour? People generally show you their vibration by their own actions. Time-out to centre and recharge can help you refocus your energies and re-establish your spiritual practice/s. The great thing is you can do this as often as you need.
