A Simple Grounding Ritual

This ritual is best done outside in Nature. If the weather is inclement it can be done inside.

What you need:

A white or brown candle. Try for a wish candle size or if you are using a larger candle it can be used multiple times for the same purpose. For deeper intention dedicate your candle for grounding purposes, call in your Spiritual Helpers and anoint it with Sandalwood, or Frankincense (or a mix of the two).

Some stones or crystals. Four can be used at a minimum but you can easily use up to 12. Collect your stones with the intention of using them for grounding. Stones out in Nature are already cleansed.

If you are using crystals choose those which have grounding properties. Make sure to clear them first. Remember Clear Quartz can replace any crystal.

Do your Foundation Practice to Ground, Centre, Clear and Protect your energies.

Sit or stand on the ground within a circle of small stones or crystals. If using four place them in a square around you – in sacred geometry this is a grounding layout. It is perfectly fine to place your stones out in front of you. Or, alternatively form a shape or grid in front of you. Let yourself be guided by your intuition.

Light and hold your candle.  Focus on your Earth Star Chakra beneath your feet.

Breathe energy into your Earth Star Chakra and imagine it sinking down into the earth deep into Mother Gaia’s womb in the centre of the earth. Plant your energies deep into the womb of Mother Gaia and allow your senses to feel, see, smell, taste, or hear Her response.

You may feel warmth, or a vibration – you may simply feel calm and centered. You might sense the strength of Gaia within you, the smell of the earth may become stronger.

Touch each of the stones slowly one at a time. Feel the texture of the stones. Are they cold or warm? Do they become warm with your touch? You may feel a deep sinking into the earth or feel a protective energy surround you.

Be responsive to any feeling, sensation or message you receive.

These stones or crystals are a connection to the earth - to Gaia. When you feel you are grounded or have received your message chose one stone to work with for as long as you feel necessary.

Thank Gaia and your Spiritual Helpers and extinguish your candle. Return your stones back into Nature. If a particular stone has called to you to work with for a period of time, return it back to where you found it when the work is complete.
