End of Year Rituals can help you to herald in the energies of a New Year
Wash the front and back entrances of your home with Sage, Eucalyptus, Lemon and Peppermint. Be thorough. Clean the frame, doorstep, screen, the door and its handle. This breaks up stagnant energy, releases old ways of thinking/being and clears the energies of unhelpful guests of the physical and non-physical kind.
Clean your windows. The windows of the home represent the 3rd eye. To have clarity of sight – keep your windows clean.
Clear any outstanding debt such as accounts, laybys, power, phone etc. Going into a new year free ensures you won’t be overwhelmed by bills for the duration of the next year.
Have some money on the first day of the new year and your purse or wallet will never be empty.
And for the New Year!
Do something different on the first day of the year. Or, go somewhere you haven’t been before. Try something new that exposes you to new people in new environments and you will have opportunities galore throughout the year to learn, grow and explore😊 This includes seeing the people you wish to spend more time with and you will have them in your life for the ongoing year.
Try a new recipe. Something completely different, something you have always wanted to try. Perhaps cuisine from another country and you will be enjoying new foods all year. You might start with a piece of fruit or vegetable you have never tried before – you have to start somewhere 😉If you have always wanted to bake bread or make your own water kefir, sourdough starter or home brew - this is the day to do it!
Do something to nurture the bonds of family. Have a picnic, walk the beach, sit around a fire (fire pits, chimeneas are acceptable when you need to register your fire in our Tasmanian Summer). Keep it simple, open the lines of communication within the circle of your family.
Set intentions for the coming year. What would you like to achieve or manifest? What would you like to manifest physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually? Be gentle with yourself. Keep it simple. If you want to achieve or manifest something BIG, pace the steps you need to do to reach your goal.
Creating your own ritual or ceremony for the first day of the year can incorporate your knowledge, wisdom and creativity with fresh energy that will be your foundation for the rest of the year. You may already have your own traditions or you might try something mentioned above.
May the energy of January 1st be a Light that supports you throughout the year 😊
